NBD She’s alive! 1964 Fender Jazz

Sounds like your bridge pickup just needs a rewind, easily sourced and performed by any of the well known pickup gurus out there. If the pickguard bothers you with the misaligned screws, do as others have said already, screw it down to a board to keep it from getting warped and store it away...

would you do $15 for one? don't have a use for the second.

Vintage Fender experts, have at this CL ad.

I own it's sibling, also a sunburst '71. great bass, but the missing tuners (NO those are not the way they came from the factory, they should have Fender branded plates without the ®), pickups & electronics (mighty might, you kidding me?!), Pickguard ('71 guards are a beautiful deep red mottled...

Don’t tell me that 70s P is now amazing

my 71 sounds better than my 64. I love them both dearly, and the necks couldn't be any more different from each other.

What's wrong with the Fender Dimension Basses?

generally I think people want a specific product from Fender, and they'll go elsewhere for the "fancy" stuff. that being said, I've played a couple of the MIM Dimension basses and was blown away by each. GREAT necks, and great sounding pickups - the passive triple bucker is excellent, and...

    SOLD UBER Rare Spector

I have an '83 too, it use to belong to Flea, and I agree with the other comments, these things have the most amazing tone. best recording bass I own hands down. for some reason, way more punchy than a normal neck thru Spector. $2500 is a BARGAIN in my opinion.

    Hofner basses.....not worth it?

my own experience - had a 1968 500/1, perfect intonation, action, and rock solid. got stolen. I now own a late 70's 500/1 that I had to restore, been through the mill but it's solid, loud and the most fun bass to play of all my collection. I love it. I also own a newer Hofner CT 500/1, once I...

SOLD 1972 Precision lived thru the 80's & Jr !

that is a great deal for the '72. I have a same spec '71 (no extra pickup, no emg's) and it is hands down the best sounding and recording bass I own. early 70's chunky B necks rule, and are key to the fat sound of that era...IMHO.
