i actually like it. combining both channels gives me a real full punchy sound. not looking to resale anytime soon, once i like a sound i stick with it for a long time. im worried about if using this channel will shorten the amp's life somehow.

i hear ya Jimmy. it makes complete sense what you're saying. most likely the amp will stay at the studio only for recording purposes and i don't need it to be loud. thanks for your input.

Is this a legit vintage Ampeg B-15???

i guess this as a player's amp is a plus but as a collector's item is a minus. is this reversible? the current speaker is not stock also has a very small hole on the cone. i was very tempted to change the speaker. now, with this find should i install a 4 ohm speaker? would this damage the amp?

Is this a legit vintage Ampeg B-15???

hey guys so, i did what beans suggested, i tried different heads/cabs. seems like the hole is making that unwanted noise. so, at this point, knowing that the cab is a later 60's paired with an early B-15N head, should i try look for an orphan double baffle cab instead of buying an new Eminence...

thanks Jimmy! i did insulate the hole at the bottom and tightened the latches however the noise continues. seems the speaker is farting... do you think i should recone the current Utah or get a brand new spanking Eminence Delta 15A? i took a few pics of the current Utah

Is this a legit vintage Ampeg B-15???

100% agreed. i don't care much about the looks. actually i like it as is now, it kinda has more mojo. regarding the tone, I've never played a B-15 so i do not know what they should sound like. i do have a svt mti and the b-15 sounds pretty similar (maybe i should say that the mti sounds like...
