    Bass is in excellent condition. Has a set of spirocore Weich's on it. I have a pretty nice well padded bag I could throw in for an extra 50 bucks. It's the bellafina pro. I live in the Cleveland area but would ship if necessary. Buyer pays shipping, packaging, and insurance.

    Beginner Funny I spent time on Fly me to the moon as well. Melody all in thumb position...suggested by a youtube lesson. Other than that major scales, minor scales, and arpeggios in circle of fifths. Then goofed around trying to make Tom Sawyer a jazz standard.

    Well I'm a paisan so maybe I have the Italian fingering gene. I can go the traditional route fine but can play faster more naturally with the "Italian style" in the lower register. Down the fingerboard and in thumb I can shift to using all 4 fingers or any of the variants. I seem to change...

    I personally get a more natural proper semitone spacing from pressing with my 2nd and ring finger simultaneously than going with the ring/pinky combo. Is this still Simandl, something else, or my own ghetto method? Thanks!

    Yeah stick does sound more appropriate for a bow. As far as the design of the stand goes I only plan on slapping a few stickers on it...I love using a router though.

    Bought a used Strunal 50-4. Colors are from E-G: Red, Light Blue, Green, Purple. Same colors on ball as peg. I searched and came up with multiple answers...clueless. Thanks!

    Don't know if stick is an acceptable term but this Strunal 50-4 is new to me and I'm pretty stoked on it. Score at 650...at least I think so. Big props to those of you for posting such useful info for newbs like myself and a special thanks to Jake deVillers for the dims on the stand!!!
