Picked up Bass at 15...Mel Bay pink and blue books, then reading Jazz/Stage Band charts in HS...Rhythm Section in a collegiate nationally renowned Swing Choir and Jazz Band in College. Classic Rock and originals in Houston for 5 years, then back to Central Illinois where, since 1986 I've led several successful local bands to local prominence by being different. The Willies was a 6 piece powerhouse with 5 lead singers. We could, and did, anything we wanted, from Stealer's Wheel to Kings Of Leon and literally everything in between. On to Weekend Update, '70's band full of one hit wonders...a love letter to my youth. Then BubbleGum Jack, the best rock show I've ever been a part of. That band still performs twice a year to between 700 and 1500 people, dependent upon the venue. Current band is Capt. Quirk. Blessed to have been able to keep the bottom end going for 40 years now and having a blast playing with great guys and great musicians.
