Influences and Teachers

I never really had any when I began. Originally being a punk bassist, you don't really have bass players that stand out. It took me until a couple of years ago to finally find some good players like: Jaco Pastorius, John Paul Jones, Victor Wooten (who I'm proud of the fact he lived/lives in my hometown), Miroslav Vitous, Larry Graham, Stanley Clark, Marcus Miller, and even Les Claypool. I've taken a bit out of all these players to find my own style. So you could say that I was influenced by these guys.
