< 30lbs cab recommendations for lightweight rig

Check out RevSound, their RS210 is $500 and is 30 lbs. It's loud as hell too. The only thing that might be a turn away would be that they're only wired for 4 ohms. I don't know if that's important to you or not but my 210 has handled every gig I've used it for, including outdoor events!

    Lightweight Bass Gear

I feel obligated to leave this link here RevSound | RevSound I got the RS210 and its so loud. It also only weighs 30 lbs, which is great for me because I'm always carrying gear up and down stairs. I run a fender american special p-bass through an aguilar th500 into the RS210 and this setup has...

    Smallest 2x12 Cabinet

Wow guys, thanks for all the replies! To answer a few questions, I've just ordered a TH500 so that's what I would be running through any cabinet that I decide to try out. Being a college student, I am on a bit of a budget I was thinking around $600 maybe $700 for a cabinet. And I guess my...

    Smallest 2x12 Cabinet

Isobaric cabs seem like they are less than efficient, maybe I could drop a little extra cash on a 112 and save up for later when I have more space to move things?

    Smallest 2x12 Cabinet

This looks promising. I'm not really a huge fan of the MB color scheme but (sound > looks). I also just thought that it would be really funny to buy this cab and 'dress it up' to make the speaker cones look like eyes on stage.

    Smallest 2x12 Cabinet

I'd like to try this one out, I've heard they start to rattle after a while though. Have you had any experience with that? Thanks for the reply

    Smallest 2x12 Cabinet

Hey TB, Does anyone know of a 212 cab with small dimensions? I travel a lot from college to home in a car and I'm afraid that once I pack everything up there wont be enough space for my cabinet to fit in the trunk. I'm looking for a small, lightweight bass cabinet. I'd prefer a 212 because I...

    Most versatile amp?

Well 1st of all, I found a damned good deal on one and it won the poll which means a lot of people that had a lot of good opinions about it. Also, the comments about the TH and the whole versatility come from the player not the gear section of the thread pushed me towards a mindset where I...

    Most versatile amp?

Unfortunately I haven't had the time or money to do a lot of cab research/ purchase a cab. But I was looking at the Avatar and Epifani 2x10s

    Most versatile amp?

I've heard nothing but good things about the walkabout, what I'm worried about is the volume. Do you think that running it through a 2x10 will be good enough to get over a loud drummer or do a few small- medium sized gigs? Some of them without a DI option

    Most versatile amp?

I do think that the V3 is a much better amp than the V2 but I was looking more for a head-cab setup because it's more versatile in the long term. Rather than buying a whole other combo if I want to switch later, I can just buy a new head

I also play a Fender American Special P-bass

    Most versatile amp?

What sort of neutral sounding cabs would you suggest? I was looking at getting a 2x10 now then maybe adding another 2x10 or a 1x15 down the road. I've been looking at Avatar cabs and the Epifani UL series

    Most versatile amp?

So I've been playing bass on and off for a few years and I'm finally giving it the time it deserves. Now i want to upgrade from the Fender Rumble 60 V2 combo I have to a head-cab setup. I play anything from doom, to ambient, to psych-rock, to jazzy math-rock, depends on the day i guess. I would...
