Nice job. I've tried hard to like the SR500 series basses and tried a few. Loved the tones the Barts can put out but I always felt the body didn't have the 'girth' that I like in a bass. The piss poor finish and my dislike of the color sealed its fate. Would be nice if Ibanez reintroduced...

ANY bass can and will do metal. But...nowadays image counts for a lot. Especially in a genre like metal. So you'd probably look more metal playing a Schecter than you would a Hofner violin bass.
