I'm just wondering why, despite all the positive reviews for Lawrence/Wilde P-46, I can't find a single decent demonstration of it on YouTube or any properly recorded tracks with it — unlike pretty much all the other so-called boutique pickups. Strange thing!

Fender looks the best and also sounds the best in clip 2. I believe clip 1 is Pedulla and clip 3 - Moollon.

This is the most original shimming solution I've ever seen! It must be lower on the treble side. I wonder what the is the string action? Congratulations, it seems to be a bass with character!

It turned out that the bass is equipped with a 0.1uf capacitor from the 80s. I decided that apparently the German luthiers were thinking in the same direction as Mr. Lawrence and left it. It is a winning move: great sound with tight, articulate and massive lows and bright mids!

Hi, I'm gonna install a P-46 into my Musima action bass, a good precision copy from the former East Germany with ash body, maple neck, fingerboard, 250 pots and 0.1uf. AFAIK, the standard for capacitor values in p basses is 0.047. Should I change to the 0.047 or Bill Lawrence have the specifics...
