Hey, thanks for the reply. I tapped it from the bottom to push it out from the top of the neck at the headstock. Once I had it out far enough I tried pulling it out with pliers but it would not budge. So I attached a pair of vice grips to it and slowly twisted and pulled inch by inch for hours...
