    It isn't everyones cup of tea but loads of us still love it! Let's start off with Marcus Miller, Larry graham, Mark King, Victor Wooten and Flea, to name a few. please offer your opinions and mention bass players who come to mind.

    Do you stand while practicing bass alone?

    i often sit down when just practising but then when i play along to a song or just get really into a groove i like to stand up cause i just feel more intune with the music when i do it. although it's embarrassing when my parents walk in to ask me sumin cause i'm probably pulling a stupid face :P

    What finger do you lead with?

    I think most people lead with their index finger (2) but i personally lead with my middle finger (3). i dunno why, it's just the way i always learned. and when slapping i use 2 on the D string and 3 on the G string

    Who is the best living bassist for you?

    Has to be Marcus Miller for me. He has an awesome sound, a great sense of groove and a soulful apporach to all aspects of music. His soloing style is sublime, captivating the hearts of those that listen to him and i love how his playing is very melodic and vocal based.
