That's more like a grounding noise. Like 60Hz hum.

Great job with the shielding. While I've done this with my Jazz basses and other single coil instruments, never had the need to do on both of my JMJ Mustangs. Did you notice much difference with noise after the shielding?

Nice! I have both. My Daphne is a first run circa 2017 model and my black is a first run of the black series circa 2019-2020 model. Love both but the black one has more alive sound. Both have with same age Labella strings. I think it’s a coincidence as all instruments have their own tonal...

Sorry man. Yes there is no way that that neck would move that much. The pocket is really tight. Sounds like the centered saddles would be the fix fir this as the bridge was drilled in the wrong position by the look of it.

Oh didn't see his second post. I assumed it was older when he said it was used. Moving the neck should work if the neck pocket is that lose and the neck is in fact shifted. By looking at the pics however, seems that the gap on the strings to the edge of the neck is the same or parallel along the...

    JMJ Signature Road Worn Mustang!

He said he bought it used. I don't think is a 22 model which don't have this issue anymore. His looks exactly like my 2018 did. Offset saddles but incorrectly centered drilled bridge. I solved mine by using the centered saddles that were sent to me by someone who I'm forever grateful for...

Thanks. Yeah, agreed. I do just that when I'm playing my Precision or Jazz basses. Short scale basses tend to have a boomy low E string. There is plenty of bass and low end left even at this hpf level. You're just taking out some undesired undertones. It's just a tighter low end.

Lol. There it goes. Basically I start with pretty much everything in neutral. I dial in about 1/3 of HPF to take out some of the low mud and get more punchy character which goes great with the short scale basses of choice. I keep the master around noon and crank the input to add some...

You can get any sound out that Watt. It’s like a Swiss Army knife. My main player for the past 4 years is the JMJ thought. Both go great with the Mesa!

Ha! Have had it for years. I take it to all my gigs as well as the head one of my daughters made as a elementary school art project when she was little. I’m surprised how it hasn’t broken yet. Lol

This was my setup for an outside gig we had this last weekend. D800+ and two SW115. I usually just run one SW115 for indoor gigs, but outside the second one adds big time to it.

Yes, They are great. I have these same strings on my Daphne JMJ. Liked them too much and switched my Black JMJ to them as well. Wait until you play them in a band setting. You'll be surprised. They can cover a lot of tonal ranges depending on where you hit them and the attack you give them.
