Thanks guys for the suggestion. I'll see if I have a local luggage shop. Maybe I'll hit up my guitar center repair shop too for info. I was thinking you could almost make your own out of some thick rope or chord and bind them with a clamp. We'll see. I'd like to avoid buying a new case.

Hi all. Been a lurker for a while, drummer by nature. My son (14) is a bass player (http://badhabitzband.com/). My son's Gibson Thunderbird case's handle broke the other day (loop style). The cord basically snapped (plastic/vinyl). I think the bird is a 2007 Pro, Gibson tolex case. Is it easy...
