Responding to myself, I've managed to figure it out and changed to VTB, quite easily. Switch replaced with Blend knob (such a great change!) Master vol and Tone as is. LaBella 760FS and Hipshot tuners arrived today, all very lovely and beautiful upgrades. Pickups will have to come later after...

I have a MIM PJ (butterscotch) which I love to bits. I haven't upgraded it at all yet, but leaning towards replacing the pickups first. In all honesty, I mostly play on the P-side Has anyone tried the Fender 63 Pure Vintage on the mustang? Also, I gather the Hipshot HB10 are a direct swap?
