So, my bass has no audio (active pickups)

I don't think so...I plugged in a Fender to make sure if the amp was fine and it worked ok.

So, my bass has no audio (active pickups)

Well yeah, I could do that, but I just wanted to know if there was any inherent harm in changing your battery when the bass was still plugged into the amp.

So, my bass has no audio (active pickups)

Hi, I use an Ibanez soundgear. My audio was getting low on me, so I thought it was time to change the battery (I can't remember the last time I changed it). However, the battery I replaced it with was also pretty old, even though it had never been used. In any case, I tried to swap out the...

    Q-tuner Pickups

So, I'm making a custom bass and I'm going to use passive pickups in it. How are the Q-tuner pickups? What kind of tone do they offer up? Are they good for high mids? Can anybody vouch for Q-tuner?

Good bridges for 6 string bass

lol most of it is due to where I live I think...seriously, I've only seen about 2 people besides myself who do shows who use a 6-string. Most of the music around here is cover bands, "hardcore", country, and christian music though...and those genres don't usually have a need for intricate bass...

Good bridges for 6 string bass

Hey there! I'm working on getting a 6-string custom-made for me...I see several different types of bridges on the internet, but being that 6 string basses are kind of rare, there isn't really any information on how they're different from one another (or even any reviews of them for that matter)...

    Question for tube amp gurus

Well the line out (ext amp) on the V4 just sends out the sound without sending out any POWER like the "speaker" jack does, so I doubt it would really HURT another amp that you would be connecting it to. I think it would be worth a try.

    Question for tube amp gurus

How high are you cranking the V4(V22) to get the grit? If you ran your amp into a PA or into a sound board for recordings you could just have the amp @ a low volume and then raise the level of the bass so you could get more volume but keep the tone. It does seem a little excessive to haul around...

Anybody know how to remove the volume/tone knobs on an Ibanez Soundgear bass?(6strng)

Ok, so...with my Fender it was easy. All I had to do was just pull the knobs off. With the Ibanez it's not been so easy. There seems to be a small circular screw on the side of the knobs, but I really don't have a tool for it. Is it even possible to get the knobs off? lol Seems like a really bad...

Tube Watts vs. Solid State Watts, Conversion?

The V4's 412 pretty much has none of that sophisticated info...so even if I wanted to look it up I can't. I wasn't playing generic cabs...but suffice to say I was playing through a LOT of different ones (too many to go into detail listing). Expecting me to get to know every setup I come across...

Tube Watts vs. Solid State Watts, Conversion?

Psh...for your information I was playing 600W and 800W SS amps thru 810 cabs...which is clearly more powerful than a 412 (and if you say otherwise then I'm going to have to say that "is just absurd"). I can't say that it was the same cab I played in each instance, but I doubt the original V4 412...

Tube Watts vs. Solid State Watts, Conversion?

Everybody who has tried to equate Tube watts to Solid State watts has said different things. It seems like from what I've heard, 1 SSW = 6-8 TubeW My own ears seem to confirm that...for example...the Ampeg V4 I have has been the loudest amp I've ever played (I've not played an SVT...), and...
