SOLD Loaded Seafoam Warmoth Precision Bass Body with Bartolini Pickup

Is that an all rosewood neck on there? If so, please tell me that’s not the one you’ve happily attached to a jazz body, haha

Squier Standard P Bass Special Family

For sure! I unscrewed the neck plate and the neck didn’t wiggle in the pocket one bit and I thought, “well, at least I know why those paint chips are there.” Haha. Ugh. Oh well

Squier Standard P Bass Special Family

Right on the money! PJ-555 is printed in the neck pocket. And yeah, it’s a pretty cool body but the electronics are amazing

Squier Standard P Bass Special Family

Replying to myself to update-- to do some maintenance, I took the neck off of the black one and it turns out someone put a Squier Standard neck on a MIJ Fender P/J body. So, I guess I have about 1.5 Standards, haha.

Squier Standard P Bass Special Family

Thanks for the fun thread, everyone! My first bass was a Shoreline Gold Squier Standard Series Precision (2002) that I bought on ebay. After some years of playing and "upgrading" to a Fender MIM Precision, I traded the Standard for a funky MIJ EB style bass. VERY shortly after giving it up, I...

    1973 precision pots

A dead pot itself decreases the value over one that works. Replacing a dead pot with a decent functioning one (with a pro-level solder job) won't decrease the value by a lot more than leaving the dead one in. Replacing the pot with one that's the correct year/era would be "better" than replacing...

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, the case lacks any marking and is a pretty standard-looking black j pickup cover.

    Pickup ID help

I grabbed a used P/J with aftermarket pickups installed so it's time to play everyone's favorite game: please help me identify these pickups! They're shielded which is cool, and the pole pieces are 7mm, which is weird. The wiring is plastic-coated but seems decent. The P pickup (still wired...
