Do you mostly play finger style? If so try using a pick. A pick will give your flats more attack in the upper mids which will help breath new life into your OD pedals/ preamp.

I voted for a 1x15 @ 8 ohms. I always liked having the option of running two cabs @ 4 ohms if need be. I would like to see a cab that is designed or voiced specifically for use with a tube amp. Honestly I not even sure what that means exactly. Now some people say that a sealed cab works best...
