Yeah, I've got the 2012 Fender American Standard Precision Bass and I love it.

You really need to spend time at a GC and get touchy-feely with lots of basses. Even if you can't play a note, eventually you'll stay messing around with a particular bass and you won't be able to put it down. Then you'll know. Then you can buy it, tweak it, and customize the heck put of it...

Right now, I have no Bass or Amp. But I DO have $1,500.00. So my question is: Do I spend the lion's share on a better Bass and then get a cheap amp? Do I go 50/50 on both? Or do I get a rockin' amp and a $100-$500 Bass? Thanks in advance!
