    Hmmm, I think I should have included 2x12 in the poll. Do people prefer them over the other 2 options i put up? Theres also the option of getting 2 1x12s or 2 2x10s? Is there any advantage in doing this apart from getting the full 500w out of my amp?

    Oh right. Thats the way I have usually done it :) (with solid state). I was sure I read on here somewhere about maxing one of them.

    well they wont be mega expensive cabs. Just Ashdown ABM's or Warwick Pro's something like that probably. I only have a total budget of about £500 if i push it.

    I've just got a 500w head at 4ohm Which set up would you use: 4ohm 4x10 or 8ohm 1x15 + 8ohm 2x10 I play kinda alternative/progressive metal think opeth and tool style. Will be used for small and some medium venues. thanks for replies.

    hmmm, it seems like GK is the way to go, but this warwick is so cheap... do you think I should get it anyway? Or is it just not worth it and i should get teh GK in a bit instead when I can afford it (next month probably)

    has anyone tried out the warwick? i've found a deal on a used one that works out less than half the price of the LMII and GK (is this for a reason?). Do you think it'd be worth spending more money and getting either the LMII or GK though?

    So I was all set on getting the LMII but the more I read about it it seems you either love it or hate it. I've now started looking at other heads and also like the GK700RB-II and the warwick profet 5.1 seems like it might be good too. I want around 500w and play alternative/progressive...
