    Switching between active and passive basses live.

    How do you guys handle switching between a passive bass and an active bass live? I tend to find that the -15db pad cuts the active bass down too much. Do most players just adjust the volume at the amp? I'm curious if there is a trick to switching basses without having to mess with the volume.

    Questions about my 1998 or 1999 American Deluxe Jazz bass V

    Can anyone help me identify what I have with this bass and what it may be worth? I know it is fairly rare and I've found ones similar with John Suhr electronics, but mine looks to have different pickups, different bridge etc. Any feedback is appreciated.
