I thought that too... but my amp and pedal board are silent even when the pedals are on (slight hiss but thats from the overdrive pedal when its on, and only audible when the volume is cranked). It only starts to make noise when I plug in the Jag Bass and use the J Bass Pick up... Thinking it...

Thanks for the replies. I have read a few threads about copper insulation for single coil Pick Ups and it is something I will definitely get done. Is there a J pick up that i can put in the Jag Bass that has less noise or am i asking for a unicorn?
