Clovis Nicolas is a working Jazz bassist on the New York scene (Kenny Washington, Eric Reed, Jeremy Pelt, Eric Alexander...). He graduated from the Juilliard School and studied bass under Ron Carter. He also learned classical counterpoint with Kendall Briggs and Jazz Harmony with pianist Barry Harris.
Clovis has released three recordings under his name for Sunnyside Records, including his latest one, a Solo Bass Album titled 'AUTOPORTRAIT'
