Acutally my first Fodera was a Ying/Yang Standard, serial number YYS6 (Yeah number six of the assembly line). It crosses my mind every once in a while. I replaced it with a Ying/Yang Deluxe and I have yet to find something better.

The cutaway was to facilitate easier access to the higher frets, it was possible due to the neck through construction. I have Fodera's with both fingerboards there really isn't a noticeable difference (sound, feel) between them.
