maybe late to the discussion but i have two MAD SOUND 2x12 "detuned", open front, front ported, aged pine, guitar speaker cabinets that sound AMAZING!! totally blow away my really good sounding marshall and divided by 13 4x12 cabs. warm, full, bright, open, musical...! have no idea how it all...
