Yes it turns out it was in perfect condition I was more so confused on that type of truss rod near the body

That’s exactly what’s going on, good way to put it my hands get along better with the squire neck, specially around the first 3 frets, that’s where I notice it the most. Well that’s where I notice the difference in the necks

If the geddy wasn’t new and expensive I would have I plan on getting a neck and beat up cheap jazz to play around with but I play in a band and we have shows coming up every weekend so I need it playing perfect. I do have other basses just not willing to mess with toys I perform with myself yet
