Go with the Gibson.You won't be sorry. You may want to upgrade from the faded to the reissue later.

I have both SG basses, What I found is that the Faded finish will wear and look road worn in a fairly short time. My bass is black and is worn on the neck and over the pickup where I rest my thumb. It sustains very well but does not sound as good as my otherone nor is it as loud or as clean...
