Erlier I wrote that I modificated this bass. One for these was replacement humbucker to Aguilar Ag-5M and have to also modification bridge and saddles to spacing 17,5 mm. It can't be any more because neck width is to small. These is optimal spacing for this bass.

Spacing between strings in ray5 are 16,5 mm.

modification by me, tuners from Jin-Ho JB-350 (17 mm), and knob from Warwick style. In earlier my posts it's more photos. Now, the tuners are not to big.

I had 4 string sting ray but sold it. My main bass are 5 strings and not using from some years basses 4 strings on the gigs. Sometimes I used in home but it is a pity, that was recumbent idle.

Of course this is your opinion which I respect. My opinion is that pickguard is for me more beautiful than in 4 strings. I dreamed about such a model. One likes it, another like it :-) How many people so many opinions.

StingRay 5 have got lots of sound options which I can additionally use outside the scale of the guitar, to embellish the sound. I have only 5 strings guitars. Not all bass guitars sound like this

Yes, I had to modyfication saddle in bridge, because distance between pickup wire is bigger (18.5 mm) than stock pickup (16.5 mm). Strings wasn't over wire pickup. All saddle in bridge had modyfication across grinding. In the future going to new saddles with new distance. My distance now between...
