Fender '08 Hot Rod Jazz Club

It's time to say goodbye. I sold my Hot Rod today. It was my number one bass for 4 years, but now I'm using 5-strings only, so it was kind of a leftover. Anyhow, here is a picture from the last gig I made with it. Great memories!

Ok, it's solved now. I took off the BAII. And yes, the original screw holes were not untouchables. I think the first owner has made this modification for the bridge cover. I moved it back to normal.

It's wierd to think... how old is your bass?

Last year I turned 40. This is my birthday gift. 1969 Precision. I also have 1979 Stingray. Still have to collect some 1989 and 1999 basses.

I don't know who. The original holes you can see better here. I have to remove the bridge to find out more details.

You're right. But check the picture. My BAII is too close to the bridge pickup. Adjusting the intonation is almost impossible. The original screw holes, which you can see in the pic, are untouchable. Is there another holes for the BAII? Anyhow, I will move the bridge to the right position. Or...

I have to say Aero's are excellent basses. I had both Jazz and Precision. Unfortunately I sold them but I'm sure some day I will have them back. Here is the family portrait.

Sure I will :) The neck profile is the same than American Standard I think. What about the lacquer? It feels like the same as well. Fretboard blocks and neck binding would make this as a perfect one. PS: Later today I'll do a test with '78 Jazz Bass. Let's see what happens :)

One of these is now in Finland. I bought it yesterday from a Finnish guy who imported it from USA. Too bad the action is too high for me and I didn't had enough time to adjust it. Well, it is very clear what I will do tomorrow after the working day ;) I've had many Fender basses so it...
