    Help with fuzz pedals (Europe)

A thousand thanks for the suggestions. I'll write to both effektpedaler and fuzzmonster right away. Ashamed to say that I wasn't aware Reverb also had EU sellers. Checking them out right away. Two in France, one in Czechia ships to Denmark.

    Help with fuzz pedals (Europe)

Hi all. Wondering if anyone can help me with my problem. I've been looking for a fuzz pedal that varies from warm and hairy to synthy, with a Blend knob. Genre, rock to metal. I'll place it after an OC-5 and before my Microtubes X. But one that I can actually buy, since my options are really...

LaBella flats not suitable for Hipshot bridge?

Hey, I might do that! I would be worried about how that might affect the tone of the A string though... Try and see I suppose. Yes, I might file the sharp edges. But lower saddle + shim is also not a bad idea. Can I ask why you shim your basses? What purpose does that serve?

LaBella flats not suitable for Hipshot bridge?

Followed the advice and wrote to LaBella. Their support people have been extremely helpful, and they are sending a replacement A string. So that's a win! However they also confirmed that LaBella flats are not suitable for thru-body installation on the Hipshot Transtone bridge on my A4. I also...

LaBella flats not suitable for Hipshot bridge?

I don't know how I didn't even notice that it's possible to top-load the Hipshot. It might actually make sense to top-load flats, but on the other hand the LaBellas on my A4 don't look so different from how your Chromes looked on the A6, so should probably be safe, even though I've read that the...

LaBella flats not suitable for Hipshot bridge?

Yesterday we tried to install LaBella 760FL-TBs on my Cort A4, with a friend I've met here at TalkBass, who kindly agreed to help me. Result is a snapped A string when we pulled it somewhat hard during installation, and the rest of the strings as in the pictures below. I can fit my nail into the...

    Cort A4 sound loss

Hello people. I own a Cort A4 that I'm having trouble with. I'm a novice with all these, so I'll try my best to formulate the problem: The bass sounds pretty normal for the first half an hour or so. (I'd say it's a little low on volume, but the bass was in the closet for a few years since I...

    Left hand pang

@Clef_de_fa, I'd never thought of it that way! CHeers.

    Left hand pang

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks a lot.

    Left hand pang

Thanks a lot. What I understand from what you say is that the pang sound itself is not an error in itself. I just have to coordinate my two hands.

    Left hand pang

I have had a bass for 15 years now, playing (with) it now and then. Only very recently (less than 6 months) I changed my guitar (for a beautiful Cort A4) and started routine exercises, dedicating time and effort to my playing. So I have this left-hand question: Moving between strings (as...

How do I go about learning jazz?

Great advice here. Maybe the OP didn't respond/appreciate, but I did, so thanks everyone. (I particularly love Ed Friendland's book, it totally changed the way I listened to not only jazz but music overall. So, thanks Ed.)
