I have had this Fender amp since 2007 and find it works great for small venues with an EUB. I play a Dean Pace thorugh it as well as a Palatino VE-500. I am very happy with it. However, for electric bass guitar I prefer my older fender BXR 200

I'm curious as to wthat the favorite preamps arre for the VE500? I've been running mine straight bthrough the amp for a year (a Fender Bassman 250 (2x10) but need to better the tone. I'm looking at the Fishman Pro-EQ Platinum, L ZR Baggs, Tech 21, etc. I'd appreciate comments from experience...
