Nice, same as what i have. Make sure you have a dremmel on hand as i struggled to get the 2 Band Glockenglang in the cavity.

Initial impressions of the Alnico MM. Output between the P (220) and MM(145) is significantly different. Understand why they now include the Ceramic as stock. May be able to reduce this somewhat via pickup height. Introducing the preamp to the mix amplifies the issue (duh)

Interesting, they didn't ask me for any of that information and my replacement Alnico was dispatched today. Not sure why they would consider ceramics an upgrade, especially when the preamp runs as hot as it does. Surely a lower output pickup would be a better match? Ive also bitten the bullet...

May I ask how you purchased the tone monster? I can only find one listing on eBay and they won't poopie to the UK.

How effective do you find the blend control? I replaced my MM with a Wilkinson and at the balanced position there is a huge volume drop (to be expected) and it sounds tinny and hollow.

Same person or atleast email signature that said they would send me the replacement Alnico pickup.

Just picked one of these up myself. Initially i didn't like the sound but once the fresh strings have bedded in a little and i got used to the preamp its a beast for the price. Really nicely well made and sounds great.
