When I use my Martin Acoustic-Electric, nothing sounds better to my ears than a GK MB150S. Expensive and difficult to find. I’ve also had good luck with the Traynor SB112.

This is the way. Put a small piece of dowel under each end and then gently, carefully apply pressure with a bar clamp to take the pressure off the nut.

I’m not familiar with that amp, but it seems similar to the GK 400RB which also has an unbalanced out for DI. I always had great results with a Countryman 185.

The first rig I had after finally selling the SVT and 810 I was using was two Joe’s Pro 15’s and a Joe’s 10 with a GK 800RB. Those things were bulletproof—and heavy by today’s standards…

Have you tried Maple St. Guitars in Atlanta? They did good work for me a few times for reasonable prices.

I have both a JC and Guild Starfire 2. I love them both, maybe a slight edge to the Guild. The Jack Casady I have modified to address some issues I had: moved the upper strap button to deal with neck dive (it worked!) and replaced the 3-point bridge with a Hipshot.

Electrician too… I never considered ESD in a brewery! I know that conveyor belts and such cause ESD, which can destroy sensitive electronics. I did some digging about the issue and it appears that conventional power strips, power conditioners and surge protectors do NOT protect electronics from...
