I had to use it for almost the whole show yesterday - think it's just getting used to playing with it - wasn't really an issue... and one of our singers told me it looks "Badass" (I bought a black one), so... there's that 😂

Tried the glove last night. Totally works to prevent the sweat issue - thanks! Only problem I had is that it can kinda “mute” strings I don’t want muted every now and then. I hold my bass really low so my hand positioning due to that might be the reason I’d have that issue and you wouldn’t but...

Our guitar player had some FAST-FRET that I used yesterday at the show. Worked for most of the night, so... making some progress. Had I thought to reapply during the break might have made it all night 👍

I only wear black clothing though 🖤

I have really wondered about the idea that my sweat is different now. I haven't played these huge outdoor festival gigs in a few years now - certainly not since COVID. I am going to try the gloves based on the @fig post above... I also thought it might be the basses as the first time it...

Between that, duct tape and a hammer you can fix almost any issue 😂

We don't have many breaks between songs at all. This really won't work for me. Otherwise, not a bad idea for sure.

It’s a sweat issue. Outdoor shows. Fan won’t do anything when it’s 90 degrees out and I don’t just stand in one place either. All my basses (I currently own 50) are newer, high quality and taken care of by a professional tech. Not an equipment issue.

As I said in original post - powder not an option. A fan won’t do anything either, and I don’t like fans on me when I play at all either. I always have a towel - not going to help at all in this case. We play 3-4 hours straight with no breaks and no time between the songs.

I won 50 basses. We’re talking basses that I bought in the last couple months here.

Fan won't help and I really dislike having a fan on me when I play - always have a towel with me. Not the answer for the heat and sweat amounts we're talking about here.

We only play outdoor festivals in the Summer. I do not like fans anywhere near me when I play, but we're talking heat to the point a fan won't do anything anyway. I actually love playing in the heat, and have done hundreds of shows in the past without having this issue.
