ummmm,....anyone have any info on this? Bergantino content

I have yet to find a single preamp (or amp for that matter) that works equally well for electric bass...and acoustic guitar and electric guitar. The Sarno V8 has been the best so far, although I liked it less for electric guitar. Has anyone tried the SP on anything other than bass?

    Crazy 88 alternatives?

He does have a tweeter option with some other cabs, so maybe it is possible to add one to the 28v.

    Crazy 88 alternatives?

I'd build it myself if the plans were available. Have you seen plans anywhere that can be purchased?

    Crazy 88 alternatives?

No tweeter on the 28V. I want a full range cab so that I can also use it with acoustic guitar and other various acoustic instruments.

    Crazy 88 alternatives?

In 2022, what are the options if you like the concept/size/sound of the Crazy88? Doesn't appear as though they are easily procured these days. MAS is not really in business. The Elf 2x8 doesn't have a tweeter, neither does the TC. Is the Warwick Gnome as close as it gets?

Schiit Vidar: any reason this couldn't be a good power amp option?

Looking at one of the Class A/B power amps from Schiit Audio. They're known for high quality, reasonably priced hi-fi gear. I like that it's not Class D, and that I could use it in stereo for my acoustic guitar. Looking at the specs, does anyone with more knowledge about this stuff see why...

Peter Giles gear in "Pictures of a City"?

Hi Peter...any chance you could share what bass and amp you were using on the McDonald And Giles album? That is one of my favorite recorded bass tones of all time.

Can with biggest sonic footprint with smallest physical footprint?

Probably overkill, but looks perfect/amazing. I've actually spoken to him about this cab.

Can with biggest sonic footprint with smallest physical footprint?

This is actually what I keep coming back to, in terms of research. But I'm reluctant for some reason. I've previously looked into MAS, AudioKinesis, RevSound and EA. I hadn't considered Barefaced before this thread. That Big Baby 2 is appealing. One detail I left out is that I need to also use...

Can with biggest sonic footprint with smallest physical footprint?

room filling: no PA support, smaller rooms/spaces (50 seat max)...ambient, instrumental ensemble. I think of my hifi home stereo 2.0 speaker setup where you don't sense the source direction...it's seemingly all around you, despite coming from two speakers at the front of the room. footprint...

Can with biggest sonic footprint with smallest physical footprint?

The AudioKinesis and MAS cabs seem to come up often for the small, but big category.

hmmm...how does one edit a thread title?

Can with biggest sonic footprint with smallest physical footprint?

Which cabs are in the category of deceptively large sound relative to their small size? Not just big bottom, but room filling sound.
