Is Carvin AG100D the only multi-purpose amp?

Lads, I have owned an AG100D and as a bassist I can attest, despite the published specs, it is a fine A/E bass amp. One must run it all the way out(darned LOUD) before distortion becomes an issue. Carvin seems to have more than their share of bashers, though I have to wonder why...Made in San...

modulus vintage jazz bass To buy or not to buy

In 1977 I had a bass made by Modulus(think: Jaco): Birdseye maple/Mahogany sandwich body, the first fretless Jazz bass neck they made, I was told. Seymour Duncan pickups, stacked volume/tone pots (knurled knobs), blue Anvil road case. Has anyone seen it?

The CARVIN MB (MICRO BASS) Combo Club!

How DO I become a member of this Illustrious Club? I now own an MB210 and a 210MB, both in Dark Green. I did change the speakers to Eminence Deltalites, to lighten the load and raise the headroom. Happy? Boy, you'd better believe it! I'm thinkin' of gettin' a tattoo...CARVIN!

Double Bass 1/4 Size upright, any fullsize people playing them?

I too have a Kay (H10) 1/4 size, and love the way it feels and looks. I had considered a Azola, but realized I had more and better of all I need with my Kay (the only blonde my wife lets me take out!). After a 50 years of electric bass, I feel right at home with it. Don't let the haters keep you...

The CARVIN MB (MICRO BASS) Combo Club!

I guess I am so fond of the idea of the MB's that I think a little "improvement/upgrade" to be OK. The Neo's make it lighter and able to handle the lows and power better, so to me it's worth the cost. Think of them as a poor man's Walter Woods.

The CARVIN MB (MICRO BASS) Combo Club!

I have watched everyone havin' fun with the MB's, so about now, say's I, might just be a good time to share my thoughts/experience(so far...) with these gems: I live near the Carvin store so I went and they put me in a room with all four of them. I A/B'd them at every volume and tone setting...

    My Modulus Jazz Bass

In about 1977 (memory being what it's not...) I had a bass built for me by the then new company, Modulus. It was a Jazz body: birdseye maple top and back, with a mahogany center. Concentric pots/knobs, DiMarzio pickups. Fretless jazz neck(think:Jaco). Ordered for me by Dave DiMartino of the...
