alright, i will give it a read tomorrow, as its half ten here in the uk. The worst case scenario is that i will end up taking my bass to a luthier and getting him to adjust it.

i finding it hard to learn slap because i need to slap the string quite hard to get it to bounce against the fret. Also, popping is really difficult as well, because i have to pull the string really hard and i cant even pop my G string (as bad as that sounds!). Has this got something to do with...

I guess that is the biggest problem, as all I want to do is to play songs. But I end up practicing scale to improve my fretting hand, and I use a metronome to improve my internal beat/rhythm timer thingy.

I began using a 0.88mm pick, and I'm finding it easier than before!

I will try out going easy at first and not going into death grip mode as soon as I grab my pick. Thanks!

Hello there, I've been playing bass for about a month now, and whenever I try using the pick my muscle between my index finger and thumb starts burning within a minute of playing. Am I holding it too tight? Or is the pain going to fade away as I become better with the pick? I use a 1.00mm pick...
