What was your very first bass guitar?

Hamer Slammer p bass. Candy apple red with a mother of pearl pickguard. Im hoping to add a first gen cruise bass to the collection one day to come full circle.

What little time I have spent with it, I definitely end up using the low mid EQ to boost the bass and cut the bass knob, like you did.

It sounds great! I'd say pretty neutral, but a very usable EQ section. I'd have to try it with other cabs to get the full scope of its range.

After years of looking, I finally got the micro amp. This little gem was a quick 45 minute drive and included the 115 cabinet. Still not sure about the cabinet, it definitely has a unique sound being sealed with no horn. But, for $200 for the pair, I just couldn't pass it up.

Advice on New Jazz Bass with nut cut too deep

If you aren't comfortable trying to fix it yourself, Wendell is the only tech in the area I would take any instrument to. He's in Marietta.

Who's Making A Rack Mounted, Lightweight Bass Amp?

Trickfish Bullhead .5. I had two other class d amps prior that were tiny. I like that it's a full size chasis, but only weighs 5 lbs.

Wiring Jazz Pups as Humbucker sanity check

I know some people will solder the grounds together and have 1 lead coming out the other end. Make sure to use shrink wrap to cover the joint, so you won't have any funky grounding issues.

    Fender Suhr-era 90's (1996) American Deluxe Basses

Here is the 1997 5 string version. I don't know what Fender called this finish. It's transparent blue/green. 100% stock. I sold it a few years back to fund a Carvin build. I loved the tone, but the B string always sounded dead.

Looking for a 5 string with a exceptional B string

If you want to stay with a 34" scale, I would also include Carvin/Kiesel as a serious contender.

    Modifying headstock shape

I have an All-Parts bass neck that I would like to change the shape of to look like the older ESP style. I was hoping to find a template that I could lay over the top, but after a long internet search, I come up empty. It looks like the bottom rounded section is just cut off. But I really don't...
