What are the cons of PJs, or: Why don’t you have a PJ?

I had a cheap p bass copy about 34 years ago then purchased an Aria Pro II Cardinal Series Model cbs380 and I still own and play this . . . . obviously it is not a P bass or a J bass or in fact a PJ bass . . . . it has one pick up . . . I play through a boss GT6b processor into a bass amp and...

    Where do you stand?

I must admit that looking at the Bass Drum peddle is not something I have ever done as I can't see the Bass Drum peddle as I am usually in front of my Amp and as such in front of the Drums either stage right or left and glancing at my fretboard whilst engaging with the audience . . . . I think...

    Where do you stand?

Personally I have not played on a stage where I can see the bass drum pedal and tend to keep one eye on the fretboad and the other out front. Even when rehearsing I only see the bass drum pedal when he is putting it away at the end.

    Where do you stand?

I have played right and left . . . . it doesn't make a difference to me as I have to contend with the volume of the guitar amp on stage, who always plays at this volume so the engineer is not able to give us a clear sound in the foldback speakers . . . I come out of my Boss GT6B into the DI and...

    Where do you stand?

I have stood on both sides, depending on the room available for my rig . . . I am mostly DI'd to the P.A. and I will have my amp volume at whatever is require for the engineer to give us some foldback but guitarist has a Marshall 110watt combo which he always has at the same volume which some...

Does your fretting hand touch the fingerboard when you play?

Demented - As far as I know my finger's don't touch the fretboard but my palm does touch the back of the neck quite often . . . . not due to lack of technique but due to me breaking my my thumb 30+ years ago so that with my fretting hand splayed out, my thumb is at a right angle to my fingers ...
