Gentlemen, thanx for all the ideas. Seems we think alike. I've done them all. Tonight I will play with the EQ some more. Has anyone heard that the string can become over magnetized and cause this? I had a guitar tech tell me that. I've never heard of it before. I am using EMG active pickups...

These notes (only on the E) boom out. Why those? Is it fixable? This is on my P-Bass w/ EMG pickups.
