Typically on the right (ride) side of a drummer, but I have a buddy who is a big Stewart Copeland fan and spends so much time on his hi-hat work, that I find I prefer to stay on his hi-hat side.

I picked up a Starfire double neck 4/6 bass/guitar a while back and it plays really nice. The bass is a fretless and the neck is super slick, great for slides. I covered the Romantics Talking In Your Sleep with it and sounds fantastic.
