I grew up in a musical family and started playing for money when I was 12 on keyboards. By the time I was 16 I was playing bars full time, 5 hours a night 6 hours a week, and never looked back. Started playing bass full time in January 1976, a new blond Fender Precision with Rotosounds and strap. Still have it with work done by Kevin Kaufman, Still looks beautiful and plays and sounds like no other 1975 Precision! Typically play multiple bands, sub, some studio, and where ever the call comes from.
Currently about to release our first single with The R Train.

G.A.S. List
After many years and a phenomenal amount of money, I'm still looking for "The Tone"! I have and have had many great tones and sounds, and have had some really dialed in well for the gig at hand. But am still waiting on the sound that elates me and makes me want to cry. After playing Alembics, I prefer 30-32" scale length in very well made instruments. My "sound" packed in a small gear bad that I can take on a plane comfortably.
Influences and Teachers
Bass Players in general. Stanley, Jaco, Victor, etc... for what they give us, Mars Cowling, John Paul Jones, Thunder Fingers, and the rockers and others for their contribution, and all the bass players known or unknown that play everyday to secure the groove and low end for the love and beauty of music of all styles. From the visionairies that broaden our horizons to the weekend warriors that show and remind us of our love of the music. Teachers come from many places in and out of music.
