    How do you know what pickups are in a used bass?

    Thanks for the responses guys. Someone would want to downgrade them prior to selling to keep the better set of pickups for themself and sell the bass with a cheaper set... Back to the original question...how do you tell what kind of pickups are in there? how do you KNOW if they are...
