For what it's worth, my orange one does seem to have an ever-so-slight difference in tone to my 5-string. A hair warmer, more hollow sounding with my ear against it, and rounded a hair more toward the low end. Not sure which wood would cause it. Then again, that's slight enough it's more likely...

That's how I got my orange mikro, too. Unless they make one in a matching metallic neon green, this is my color. And yeah, that's exactly the reason I love my short-scales. I don't have big hands or strong fingers--especially after breaking both elbows--and the Mikro just wants to be played easy.

Really considering putting some flats or even tapewounds on my 4-string now. I play exclusively with a pick, so might balance that out a little. Or, you know, actually learning to play with my fingers. But heck with that, I just call it a style.
