Help Identifying Old Bassman 2-15 Cab

I’m not at home for the next 24 hrs or so I can’t get all the dims right now, but I did measure the depth and height yesterday. It’s 12” x 32” or thereabouts (31cm x 81cm) so that’s another thing that doesn’t add up…definitely smaller than that worthpoint one - I didn’t notice the dimensions...

I’ve found this cab, looks almost the same as mine except for the front panel and the baffle… the plot is thickening Invalid Link Removed

Help Identifying Old Bassman 2-15 Cab

I would love to be proven wrong and this to be a legitimate Fender. Can you please send me some pics of yours? edit: “legitimate” in-so-far as the cabinet, speakers etc, obviously not the baffle/front plate

Official Fender Bassman Club Pt II

Thank you G-Dog, dh is fine for me! My journey to becoming THE BASSMAN started when I was 9 and I picked up my first bass (an old white onyx) from a second hand store in rural Australia. I played for a bit then turned my head to drums, ended up going to music school (college) here in Western...

Help Identifying Old Bassman 2-15 Cab

Thanks for your responses everyone, I think now I agree that this is a jacked with peavey cab. I was hoping there was a short run of these cabs that someone knew about but that’s just not the case! The dimensions and baffle do not align with anything I’ve seen, and the other small details don’t...

    Cleaning pedals .... how?

Be careful with acetone and other solvents, a younger version of myself took off some of the original red on my 70s big muff… isopropyl alcohol wipes are very handy in my experience or just a dry/very lightly damp microfibre cloth and elbow grease. Contact cleaner is good for cleaning pots and...

Official Fender Bassman Club Pt II

Hey everyone, first day on the forum. Thought I’d show my contribution to the Bassman family. Here’s my 77’ Bassman 135 into my 72’ 215 Bandmaster (CTS Speakers). This thing is massive and sounds amazing. Also, maybe you can help me identify this “Bassman 2-15” I picked up over the...

Help Identifying Old Bassman 2-15 Cab

That’s what I’ll be doing if I can’t get a definitive answer on what this one is. The serial number suggests it should be a 1980 and the 80’s 2-15’s had black grillcloth. Does your 115 have inset handles like mine or just the regular too mounted handle?

Help Identifying Old Bassman 2-15 Cab

Hoping someone here might know what I’ve just picked up, as the front grillcloth appears to be not original. What makes me believe this is a late 70’s/early 80’s Bassman 2-15 is: -Bassman 2-15 on the info plate -correct handles -correct tolex -the speakers are Fender 15F speakers with...
