Influences and Teachers
My first teacher was a folk/blues/bluegrass guitar player named Eric Lambert. This was where I learned how to navigate the fretboard but my lessons with him didn't last longer than 6 months. From there I began with jazz bassist Scott Pazera. Scott is a very accomplished musician who recieved some of his musical education from Billy Dickens. I took lessons with Scott on and off for about 5 years and basically used this to develope how I personally approach my instrument. Some of my influences include Oteil Burbridge, George Porter Jr., Bootsy Collins, Jaco Pastorius, Phil Lesh, Mike Gordon, Victor Wooten, John Patitucci, Stanley Clark, and Chris Wood to name a few.
