    oh man, "Put tape on some plier jaws and tighten them back in or some day the worm gear will fall out." this SAVED me. I was having trouble getting them to screw back in after cleaning with vinegar. I tried for half an hour with no luck, and checked this forum in a hail mary and you saved me...

    Thanks so much for that info. I thought they would work too but the issue is that the screws are 36mm wide at the top while those in the diagram are 32 or 33. Seems to be a unique style tuner unfortunately!

    That’s a good point, I have been thinking the alternative is to restore them. They are either loose or too tight. I need to research the best way to clean them up, I’m a little less confident in how to fix the too loose ones.

    Hello! The screw spacing on my tuners is wider than most 70s style jazz. It's around 36 at the top and while most are 33.3 or less. the bottom screws are standard: 25mm apart. are there ANY tuners with this type of screw spacing?
