I’m glad you revived this thread... I also am planning a KS inspired build. I already have the Humbucker 5 string pickups. I’m looking at the Audere as my preamp. Wondering if I’ll still get close to that lovely KS tone because of the pickups. Any input talkbass?

I'm dig'in your modded 55-01, you have to tell me ... what are DPDT switches? Did you use Parallel or Series pickups? I'm turned on by the idea of having all those options with the coils. Great mod you did there. The fact that you would use that bass as a reference for a custom Fodera ...
