Hi folks, Just a short update. I am still happy with my UKDream. Playing regularly in a two groups. I have now ordered a solid body Bass ukulele and a set of UBass wire wound strings. The plan is to have the option of the two types of sound. We will see how it turns out.

Thanks, you're right I have been leaving it plugged in and on. Cheers. I have learned that the batteries only last about two weeks if one is a numbskull.

The batteries in the pre-amp/tuner do not appear to last very long. Is there any way of extending the life of the batteries? Does the tuner turn itself off when not in use?

I also have a instrument exactly as you describe. I am very happy with it however as I am a new player I would have appreciated some instructions.
