Douglas Giorgiani
Originally from Londrina, in the state of Parana, Brazil, Douglas Giorgiani started playing the electric bass at the age of 13, joining the worship group at his Church. At 15 years old he moved to Sao Paulo looking to get more musical experience. There he started taking lessons with Celso Pixinga, one of the most internationally known Brazilian bass players. At the same time he started arranging and conducting the instrumental aspects of the worship group for Vale da Bencao Church in São Paulo. At the age of 17 Douglas went back to Londrina where he started playing with lots of local artists and bands. In 2002, at 18 years old he moved to the U.S., eventually settling down in Massachusetts. There he continued his musical ambitions by playing weekends at a Church called “Lowell House of Prayer” in Lowell, MA and began playing with local artists Luiz Silva with Harvest, an “Easy to Play” smooth jazz project very well know in the Boston area. He also worked with lots of local and international artists as live and studio session bassist. He also played with Question Band, a Pop/Funky/Gospel band with all original songs, The Celebration Church in Boston, while continuing his studies at Boston’s Berklee College of Music.
Now besides recording with various artists, working as studio session musician and playing gigs, he is also participating as Bassist at Liberty Church and F Major Band. www.DouglasGiorgiani.com
