I bought a flea jazz in the classifieds last month , going to sell off the body , and a neck popped up in the clsssifieds a week ago ,so I bought that , this neck is only a placeholder most likely , I have a musikraft neck on the way

Got this body from sound guitar works did a tru oil finish , thin from front to back like mjt , not thick like warmoth , very happy with the body , neck is a flea , pups are fralin , pickguard is lavaguard nice and light body was 4.3 lbs , bass weighs slightly under 8 with normal tuners

I don’t think the serial on the neck plate can date anything with these with much certainty , they definitely made these Mary Kaye basses with gold hardware I’ve seen a handful for sale over the years , and the headstock decal position checks out with that period of avri reissues I wouldn’t...

nice one , If youre worried and you have the neck off try to turn the truss rod , its not really uncommon to have light strings on a bass
