Thank you. Any thoughts on GHS Brite Flats?

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

Thanks Rezdog. Sweetwater comped me the flats when I bought the guitar, but I was never crazy about them - I’ve played Daddario Chromes in the past and liked them - do you think Labellas are better? PS Been a Fan of Astro Boy since I was a kid in the 60s!

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

At home - have not played in a band situation. There’s a demo from Spindrift Guitars on YouTube that has the sound I’m after - maybe I should have stayed with the original strings, but I’m not crazy about round wounds.

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

I have trouble getting a tone I like from my Dub King as well. It’s strung with Gibson flats, and played through a Genzler 350 combo. To my ear, my $350 Kala solid body U-Bass, also with flats, has a “punch” that I love but can’t get from the Dub King. Is that a function of the Kala’s more...

No problems overdriving the speaker? I plan to get tc bq350 to use with my rs8 - figure it puts out 175 rms. Thank you.

Thanks Herman. I see a while back you posted a pic of a Revsound RS8 with a BAM head. The Bass Block could give me 200 watts. Could that setup support several acoustic guitars in a medium venue?

Thanks to all for your input. Any experience/thoughts on using my Bass Block 802 with the Revsound RS8? Dialing the Master back to 50% or a little lower should limit the power going to the cabinet to 200 watts. I initially was after the micro form factor for max portability so I could put both...

I don’t use pedals or preamps, so I’m looking for the best of both worlds if possible. when you say “tight” you mean?

The Mesa is way out of my budget for a second rig. My main amp is a Quilter 802 which would work with the master dialed back’ but I’m looking for a super compact lightweight setup.

Thanks basss. Sweetwater said the BAM was “clean” and good for jazz, but based on my taste/style/venues, the elf would be warmer and fatter - would you agree?

    Official Revsound Bass Cab Club

Trying to decide between a TC BAM or a Trace Elliot Elf to drive a Revsound RS8. Most of the time I will be using this rig with a Kala U-Bass in an acoustic group, but sometimes with a Reverend Dub King or Sire U5 in electric jams. I play simple, slow and steady Eagles, Petty, Young etc. with...

New Sire U5 review and discussion thread

Seems the Sire U bags are even harder to get than the bass itself. I have had one on order since January and the ETA keeps moving to the right. in the interim I ordered a Gator GB-4G Jmaster bag from Sweetwater (79.99) and it fits quite well for a non-manufacturer bag. The bass is 42.5 long and...
